Rhossili
Hailed by The Independent as the 'British supermodel of beaches', and listed in The Sunday Times 25 best beaches in the world, Rhossili Bay is stunning, and popular with everyone from walkers to surfers to bathers and sandcastle makers. Alongside Llangennith, Rhossili boasts some of the most consistent beach break on Gower, so is great for surf.
The Beacon on the Rhossili Downs, just behind the beach, is the highest point in Gower and gives unparalleled 360-degree views of the peninsula, and The Worms Head - an impressive rocky outcrop on the Southern side of the Gower Peninsula - is a stunning land mark, accessible on foot in low tide. The Spanish wreck Helvetia is also visible on the beach at low tide.
The long stretch of golden sand from Worms Head to Burry Holms and the stunning views make a trip here well worth it, especially as they say Rhossili boasts some of the best sunsets in the world.
